Farewell to my Friends From Work

I want to let you know, about the end of an era; after have been working as Drupal 8 Solutions Engineer for FFW (formerly Blink Reaction and Pro People) for more than two years. I decided to take a new path in my professional career.

ORM won't kill any kittens

Last Friday of August I presented a session on the monthly meetup of my local user group Mexicali Open Source

The session name was "ORM won't kill any kittens". It was a few recomentations about how to use an ORM Doctrine in this particular case, since the demo was coded on Symfony2.

Dependency Injection 101

I did have a chance to speak at Twin Cities Drupal Camp last week, the session name was "The Symfony Way".

This session was a walk through at some concepts and components behind Symfony 2, but also, I explained (at least I tried to) how to using them while working with Symfony, Silex & Drupal 8.

One of the mentioned topics was 'Dependency Injection' not sure why but seems for some reason as one of these concepts developers not related to OO are most scared of.

Porting Symfony Acme Demo Bundle as a Drupal 8 Module

The purpose of this post is to build a basic "Hello World Drupal" module in Drupal 8 porting the Acme Demo Bundle from Symfony 2 as a Drupal 8 module.
